Work-life balance, 8:6 roster - Small, friendly company - FIFO ex Perth or DIDO ex Kalgoorlie **THE COMPANY** The Davyhurst project is located 120km north west of Kalgoorlie in the Eastern Goldfields of Western Australia. The project area holds significant regional exploration potential in a “District Scale” land holding comprised of over 200 tenements, covering an area of 1,350km2 which contains more than 200 strike kilometer's of highly prospective greenstone belt. **PURPOSE** To provide a health safety service to the operational departments on the Davyhurst Gold project. This will include conducting audits and inspections in all areas and assisting to develop and update safe work practices. Manage all OHS related data and follow up investigations, actions and hazards to ensure the business can operate in a safe manner. This could be a graduate safety advisor willing to learn, and is very It savvy. Or it could be a Senior HSE Administrator willing to be involved infield work. **THE ROLE** Health & Safety: - Conduct Safety inspections on a regular basis and assist the health and Safety representative to discharge their responsibilities - Assist departments to develop and implement safe work procedures - Conduct Safe act Observations on a regular basis - Complete safety data input into the safety statistic system - Monitor safety inspections and action items to achieve deadlines - Support the projects critical risk management process. - Assist with the implementation of the site’s fitness for work monitoring program. - Actively participate in improvement activities i.e., inspections/audits, toolbox meetings, training needs analysis - Identify and provide recommendations for the improvement of health and safety related policies and procedures - Conduct routine workplace inspections and audits aimed and delivering excellent safety outcomes. - Participate in investigations and follow up on the outcomes for all OHSE related matters. - Monitor the OHS compliance register to ensure that items are actioned in a timely and appropriate manner.Support the Health and Safety Superintendent in the achievement of department KPIs - Conduct safety meetings, including the promotion of a strong safety culture and focused training outcomes. Training: - Conduct on site induction and associated training for all employees and contractors engaged at the Davyhurst Project - Design and implement safety related training to be delivered to employees and contractors, including but not limited to Hazards identification, Job hazard analysis - Ensure safety training records are maintained on the company system **ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS** - Certificate IV Work Health & Safety - Drug and Alcohol Collector - Participate in an ICAM investigation - Certificate IV in Training and Assessment - Have worked in a similar role for a minimum of 5 years - Have a WA Class "C" manual driver's license - Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite - Excellent written & verbal communication skills - Discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality - Ability to plan, organise, and prioritise work tasks effectively - Provide an energetic and proactive approach to safety - Be conversant with and understand the obligation of Work Health Safety Act 2020 and accompanying regulations **DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS** - Cert II Emergency Medical Response - Facilitate an ICAM investigation, injury management - Gold mine experience - Working in Confined Space (willing to obtain) - Working at heights (willing to obtain) **ELIGIBILITY** - Must have Australian Working Rights - Must be willing to undergo a full medical and drug and alcohol screen - Must be able to obtain a national Police Clearance valid within 6 months - Must be able to provide proof of Covid vaccination status.
