**About the role**
The Geelong region has had the GRO4Resilience (Geelong Recovery Outreach for Resilience) initiative created, which aims to deliver projects to support flood affected communities and to work with high-risk communities to increase resilience and preparedness for future emergencies.

In this position you will be responsible for the delivery of the GRO4Resilience Emergency Recovery Hub Project including project development, implementation and monitoring. The project comprises engagement activities, program and resource development, delivery of exercises and training.

Classification: Band 6 ($90,263 - $97,365) pa plus super

Key responsibilities include:

- Conduct workshops with community members in significantly affected areas, providing information and knowledge to better prepare the area for future emergencies
- Organise Trauma Informed training to improve recovery outcomes.
- Engage with stakeholders including government departments, agencies, service providers and the public to deliver a collaborative program.
- Prepare reports and project reporting.
- Maintain and control project document management..
- Identify, implement and review strategies for improved project delivery.
- Work with the Emergency Management Team to ensure consistency with current arrangements and programs.

**About you**

Essential Experience:

- Extensive experience in project management, including the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of projects.
- Knowledge or experience in local government’s role in emergency management.
- Experience in the training and facilitation and the conduct of workshops
- Well-developed analytical, investigative, interpretative and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to analyse/interpret data and prepare quality reports.
- Tertiary qualification in Community Development and/or extensive experience in Emergency Management or Community Development, particularly in a local government environment.
