**About Us**:
Early Childhood is responsible for the strategic management and implementation of early learning and development reforms, coordination of early childhood education and care programs, approval and regulation of services, supporting assessment and ratings and the quality improvement for all early childhood development and education improvement in Queensland.

**About the Role**:
As the Project Officer your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

- Coordinate and monitor incoming and outgoing briefings, reports, recommendations, submissions, presentations, publications and correspondence on behalf of the Deputy Director-General, ensuring adherence to timeframes.
- Assist senior officers to analyse and prepare items for Deputy Director-General approval and briefing.
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships and networks with internal officers in order to expedite the business activities of the division.
- Coordinate special projects integral to the functions of the business unit, as well as providing status reports, advice and recommendations to senior officers on these projects.
- Support divisional logistics where required, such as seeking expenditure approvals, arranging domestic travel, and managing stakeholder databases and tracking event attendees.

**About You**:

- Have background in compliance to strict protocols and standards, such as Ministerial and Executive Services Unit (MESU) whole-of-government guidelines and departmental protocols and standards.
- High level communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills with the demonstrated ability to professionally represent a work unit.
- Demonstrated time management skills and ability to use initiative, prioritise workload and meet deadlines in a high output and dynamic environment that is often time critical.
- Be a committed team player.
