**MEDICAL RECEPTIONIST/ADMINISTRATOR**

**Walker St General Practice **is a progressive and family-orientated medical practice in Bowral with a friendly and supportive work culture. We are looking for an experienced **Medical Receptionist/Administrator **to join our close-knit team. You will be a valued member and will work closely with the practice manager, other receptionists, doctors and nurses within our team.

**Roles & Responsibilities**:

- Provide a professional customer-centric service to all persons arriving at our Practice.
- Answering and screening calls in a timely, courteous and professional manner. Triage calls where necessary.
- Provide high quality administrative support to our doctors and nurses.
- Managing doctors’ appointment books effectively and with detail.
- Processing payments and attending to Medicare/work cover and insurance billing.
- Assisting with the smooth running of our vaccination clinics.
- Work closely with the Practice Manager to implement process and system improvements.
- Comply with the privacy and confidentiality principles.
- A minimum of 12 months medical reception/secretarial experience.
- Knowledge of Best Practice software is desirable.
- The ability to communicate clearly & effectively with patients and clinical team.
- Work cooperatively and pro-actively with other team members and management to continually improve our patient service - you must be a team player.
- Have an eye for detail and desire for things to be accurate and complete.
- A positive and mature approach with a genuine desire to assist.
- Prioritisation skills and ability to meet deadlines.

**Job type**:Casual with a possible view to permanent part-time. Around 25 hours per week with flexibility for more or less hours as you need.
