**Stakeholder Engagement Specialist**:
- Glen Waverly, VIC, AU, 3150
**About us**:
At CitiPower, Powercor and United Energy, we’re proud to deliver electricity to 2 million Victorian customers every day through our network of poles and wires. But more than that, we’re here to power communities, support local businesses and keep critical services running smoothly, we’re essential to them all - and none of this happens without our people.
We believe in an inclusive, welcoming workplace where everyone feels safe, valued and respected. From offering great benefits to creating real opportunities for growth, we’re committed to supporting you, your career and wellbeing. It’s why our people stick around, whether you live in the city or across regional and rural Victoria, we’re doing the work where it matters most - right in your own community.
As Victorians electrify everything from homes to transport, we’re focused on ensuring our networks are ready to meet that demand.
If you want to be part of something essential, be essential with us.
**About the Roles**:
We currently have opportunities for two Stakeholder Engagement Specialists to join our Corporate Affairs, Customer and Strategy team. One role is based in Glen Waverley and the other in the Melbourne CBD.
You will be embedded within project teams, working closely with engineers, field crews, and corporate stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery with mínimal community impact. Your workday will be exciting, ever changing, and will require you to travel to a variety of locations, engaging with various internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring information is presented and understood.
Throughout the project lifecycle you will use your consulting, communication, problem solving and stakeholder expertise to play a critical role in helping us deliver our projects successfully. If you’re passionate about stakeholder engagement, experienced in community engagement and communication and looking for a stable, long-term role with a leading organisation, this is the opportunity for you. Plus with the energy sector continuing to grow, you'll be part of an essential industry with ongoing opportunities.
**In this role you will**:
- Manage the planning and executing of stakeholder engagement strategies for key projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Engage with a wide range and diverse group of stakeholders including residential customers, community groups, business owners, local councils, and government agencies.
- Provide expert advice to project teams on best-practice stakeholder engagement approaches.
- Develop high-quality communication materials such as newsletters, social media updates, and project-related correspondence in line with project needs.
- Travel to meet stakeholders across our distribution areas and manage relationships proactively with a key focus on effective information sharing, consultation, influence and relationship building.
- After hours work is required.
**What You’ll Bring to role**:
- A tertiary qualification in Communications, Marketing, Social Sciences, or a related discipline.
- IAP2 certification (desirable) and demonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement, community engagement, or communications.
- Strong relationship management and influencing skills, with the ability to lead difficult conversations.
- Excellent writing skills across multiple mediums, with a customer-centric approach.
- Experience in utilities, infrastructure, construction, or a related industry.
- A current driver’s licence and willingness to travel as required.
**Locations**
- Melbourne CBD - Working across CitiPower and Powercor projects.
- Glen Waverley - Supporting United Energy projects.
**Your career with us**:
We have a diversity of teams across our business, all contributing to great customer and community outcomes. Our people are our most important asset, and we continually invest in nurturing their capability.
We proudly strive to provide a safe, inclusive and sustainable environment where all our people feel respected, valued and supported to bring their whole selves to work and be the best they can be.
With an embedded Inclusion & Diversity Strategy and initiatives like our Women in Power networking group, and Sparkle, our LGBTIQ+ allies pride network, we’re committed to equal opportunities for all employees.
Our greatest priority is the health, safety and wellbeing of our people and the communities we operate within. This includes their physical safety - ensuring everyone gets home safely everyday - as well as their psychological safety, by ensuring everyone has the resources and support needed to achieve a work-life balance and be the best they can be.
