A 6-month government contract opportunity for a Desktop Support Officer based in Adelaide

**Your new company**

This government department offers a wide range of services to the public with the aim of creating a secure and peaceful environment by reducing crime and disorder. It is a large and complex organization that is constantly under public scrutiny and accountability due to the nature of its operations. This department provides services to more than 100 locations across the state, 24 hours a day.

**Your new role**
- Support the build of the desktop standard operating environment, and contribute to updating and maintaining appropriate documentation.
- Maintain accurate inventory of equipment and participate in audits and stocktakes.
- Undertake efficient disposal of IS&T assets as approved, in line with security and privacy requirements.

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Experience in providing and supporting desktop hardware, software, and peripherals.
- Demonstrated knowledge of current end-user devices and technology required to undertake modern policing activities.
- Understanding and practical experience working in a SDLC and ITIL environment.
- Understanding and practical experience in the deployment of the Microsoft 365 Apps for enterprise suite of products (Word, Excel, and OneDrive).
- Sound oral and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technology solutions in business terms, establish rapport, and persuade others.
