**About you**

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced **Utility Locator **to join our growing team in Bendigo. As a key member, you will have the opportunity to work on an expanding portfolio of exciting projects. The role is full-time from Monday to Friday, with the occasional weekend, nightshift and travel work required.

**Some of the Key Responsibilities for this role will be**:

- Undertake utility location activities, with locating equipment including using standard pipe and cable locating equipment.
- Interpret radar data
- Supporting utility survey teams and project teams as required to ensure project outcomes are met

**To be successful in this role you will have**:

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Previous experience undertaking Utility Surveys using EMF (electromagnetic frequency) detectors and service locating equipment.
- Valid driver’s licence
- Construction Induction Card
- Ability to work unsupervised and demonstrate initiative.
- Safe set up of job sites in accordance with worksite requirements
- Interpreting DBYD plans and locating underground assets before works commence.

**Additional points if you also have the following qualifications and industry certificates**:

- Dial Before You Dig (DBYD) Certified Locator
- Confined Space Entry Certified Training
- Gas Test Atmospheres Certified Training
- Traffic Management Certified Training
- Industry qualifications in utility locating: NULCA Accredited Certification

The role is physically demanding and involves manual handling, including operation of equipment and opening pits. For this reason, you may be required to complete a pre-employment medical.
