Mining Operations Engineer

The Role

Reporting to the Technical Services Superintendent, you will enjoy working in a close-knit team of experienced underground mining professionals. Your duties will include (but not limited to);

* Constructing and setting the weekly production and development schedule

* Underground inspections of production areas to enable efficient operation and planning

* Completion of engineering tasks as required (ring designs, production plans, survey plans)

* Track daily, weekly and monthly production and development activities and determining compliance against forecast

* Undertake geotechnical inspections and minor rehabilitation plans to address geotechnical issues/hazards

* Undertake risk assessments, JSA's and Step Back forms

* Assisting in Incident investigations and reporting

Location

Great opportunity to relocate to Bendigo, regional towns in the Bendigo region or the outer suburbs of north Melbourne. Benefits include;

The Mine

This site is a medium sized underground hard rock gold mining operation located in regional Victoria. In between Bendigo and Melbourne.

* Lengthy LOM with a strong production outlook

* High-grade narrow-vein gold and antinomy

* Experiencing minor ground squeezing and convergence

* 4G Telstra coverage on site

The Roster

* 8 days on, 6 days off

* 11 hours per day, leaving site at 1.00pm on day 8

* Thursday to Thursday roster

Your Value

* Tertiary qualification in Engineering or equivalent qualifications

* A minimum of two years' experience as a Mining Engineer (preferable with underground time completed)

* Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office computer packages (Word, Excel etc)

* Proficient in the use of mine design software (Deswik)

* A good communicator with strong verbal, written and presentation skills

* First Aid Certificate or equivalent

* Strong safety focus on site

* A current driver license
