Job Description:
**About the Role**

Our client, a reputable dealership servicing Sydney, Wollongong, Newcastle, and ACT regions, is seeking a **Workshop Foreman - for a Heavy Machinery dealership.**

This role involves coordinating daily workshop activities, performing equipment repairs and maintenance, and liaising with the Service Supervisor to ensure efficient operations. Prior experience with CAT Heavy Equipment will be advantageous.

**Reporting Structure**
- Reports to: Service Supervisor
- Direct Reports: Workshop Technicians, Apprentice, Workshop Yard Person
- Key Responsibilities

**Admin**: Supervise daily workshop operations and allocated employees; liaise with Service Supervisor, spare parts team, and external contractors; ensure adherence to safety standards; use company systems for job status updates and issue escalations.

**On Tools**: Coach apprentices, perform repairs and maintenance, conduct pre-delivery inspections and modifications, install special parts in devices, adhere to safe working practices, report all accidents and hazards.

**Qualifications**
- Trade qualification in heavy vehicles, plant, motor mechanic, or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years' experience in heavy machinery repair
- Customer support/team leadership experience
- Experience with CAT Heavy Equipment desirable
- Forklift License desirable
- Current Driver's License an advantage
- Current EWP High Risk License an advantage.
- Telehandler Gold Card an advantage

**Required Skills**:

- Record keeping and administrative abilities.
- Thorough knowledge of workshop operations, servicing and maintenance of plant
- Technical background in hydraulics and electrics
- Basic computer skills
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, time management and organisational skills
- Demonstrated leadership skills and supervisory experience.
- Problem-solving abilities for technical troubleshooting
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations
