**The Opportunity**:
An exciting new opportunity exists for a Risk and Compliance Advisor to join Gallagher Bassett’s Risk, Audit and Compliance team. The Risk, Audit and Compliance team are responsible for the development and maintenance of all GB’s risk and governance frameworks as well as overseeing all risk management activity, compliance auditory activity (regulatory and contractually), both internal and external. Their vision is to be a valued business partner enabling Gallagher Bassett to balance risk and reward, in making well informed decisions, leading to superior business outcomes.

**Additionally, you will**:

- Fulfil and deliver audit activity in accordance with the annual audit program and Worksafe Victoria’s compliance, legislative and regulatory obligations;
- Engage with business stakeholders to communicate audit findings, results and observations;
- Engage with the business to develop remediation actions to address audit findings and control deficiencies;
- Engage with the business to perform Best Practice Reviews to delivery optimised business outcomes and to reduce risks;
- Advise upon risk enquiries and promote a positive risk-aware and compliance-oriented culture for GB;
- Support and collaborate with the National Risk, Audit and Compliance Team with ongoing support and coverage for other assigned audit activity as required;
- Proactively identify potential areas of risk (i.e. financial, reputation, fraud, breaches or contractual) and communicate risks to business risk owners and the Risk & Compliance Manager;
- Actively collaborate with, and provide support to, regulatory bodies and external stakeholders.
- Previous experience in a compliance, audit, quality assurance and risk management role.
- Exposure to the financial services and insurance sectors is highly desirable, OR;
- Previous experience in a claims management role, such as workers compensation, life insurance, superannuation, disability cover, etc;
- Demonstrated success in embedding a risk and compliance aware culture and a continuous improvement culture;
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage at all levels of organisation;
- Strong reporting skills, with a high level of attention to detail;
- Ability to read and interpret different legislation, regulation and contracts;
- Excellent time management skills, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
- Ability to work collaboratively with business stakeholders and to work automatously to achieve business outcomes.
