**About the role**:
We are currently seeking a Maintenance Officer (Full Time) to join our dedicated Maintenance Team at our Portofino facility located at Hamilton, QLD. In this role you will maintain our residential aged care home including building, common areas, grounds & gardens. You will ensure the interior and exterior of our property is well presented and that all maintenance and repairs are completed to a high standard. A trade is not required for this role.

Your main responsibilities include:

- Maintain our grounds & gardens including gurneying, rubbish removal, leaf blowing & general tidying of outdoor spaces.
- Undertake repairs and general maintenance in the home.
- Ensure the interior and exterior of our properties are well presented.
- All maintenance repairs are completed to a high standard.
- Maintain and monitor all waste collection and waste housing areas.
- Ensure any request for maintenance is responded to in a timely manner.
- Ensure the preventable maintenance schedule is adhered to & up to date.
- Attend site meetings & all mandatory staff training as directed.
- Maintains a safe workplace at all times; is clear on the WHS implications on the maintenance role.
- Ensure the use of external contractors is reviewed with the site Facility Manager or Hotel Services Manager.
- Liaise with contractors & subcontractors to ensure jobs are completed in a timely manner and to a high standard.

To be successful in this position you will have demonstrated experience general maintenance and repair duties. You will have good communication skills and the ability to liaise professionally with residents, staff, visitors and contractors. In addition, you will have:

- An ability to work effectively with mínimal supervision, prioritize tasks.
- Provide high level of customer service.
- Current driver's license.
- A Positive "can-do" attitude.

**Salary**: $59,000.00 - $68,400.00 per year
