About the role

The Medical Education Officer (MEO) plays a pivotal role in supporting the professional growth, education and well‑being of our medical workforce, including PGY1 Doctors, HMO's, Registrars, Locums, Students and Senior Medical Staff. Working closely with the Chief Medical Officer, the MEO will help shape and sustain a dynamic and supportive Medical Education Unit that fosters excellence in clinical learning and patient care.

The MEO is responsible for the planning, coordination, delivery, and evaluation of medical education programs across the health service. This includes the design and implementation of engaging orientation programs, management of the Clinical Learning Australia (CLA) online platform, and maintenance of all educational materials such as manuals, guides, and term descriptions. They will lead and support a wide range of educational initiatives including weekly teaching for interns, HMOs, registrars, students, grand rounds, and assessment and feedback processes.
