**Position: Operations Manager**

**Location: South Australia Reporting to: Director of Infrastructure & Operations**

Are you a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager seeking a challenging opportunity to lead and optimise operational excellence within a regional council in South Australia? If you are passionate about infrastructure and operations management, we invite you to join our team as an Operations Manager reporting directly to the Director of Infrastructure & Operations.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- ** Operational Leadership**:

- Provide strategic direction and operational leadership to ensure efficient and effective management of infrastructure and operations across the region.
- Oversee day-to-day operations, including maintenance, procurement, fleet management, and facilities management.
- ** Team Management and Development**:

- Lead a team of dedicated professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and high performance.
- Provide mentorship, guidance, and support to team members to ensure their professional growth and success.
- ** Budget and Resource Management**:

- Develop and manage the department's budget, ensuring prudent allocation of resources to meet operational goals and objectives.
- Monitor financial performance and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
- ** Stakeholder Engagement**:

- Establish and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders, including internal departments, contractors, regulatory agencies, and community members.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment of operational strategies with organisational goals and community needs.
- ** Process Improvement and Optimisation**:

- Implement best practices and process improvements to enhance operational efficiency, streamline work flows, and optimise resource utilisation.
- Identify areas for improvement and drive initiatives to enhance operational performance and service delivery.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Bachelor’s degree in operations management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in operations management, with a strong understanding of infrastructure management practices.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in leading and motivating teams to achieve organisational goals.
- Excellent analytically and problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
