**About the role**
As IED Stakeholder Engagement Officer, you will be part of the IED Stakeholder Management team and will be responsible for stakeholder engagement for a portfolio of capital delivery works. You will be responsible for the efficient and effective delivery of stakeholder management activities across a portfolio of projects to ensure the successful implementation of the Infrastructure and Environment Department’s (IED) Capital Delivery Program and associated works.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

- Developing and implementing stakeholder engagement and communication initiatives that are aligned with Council’s Community Engagement Policy.
- Working with and providing support and advice to staff within the Capital Delivery Branch to achieve stakeholder management and project communication goals.
- Providing day to day guidance and advice to internal IED stakeholders on best practice stakeholder engagement.
- Assisting in the identification, definition and analysis of stakeholder groups and communication vehicles to effectively manage project issues, risks, and reputation.
- Establishing and maintaining high quality relationships with Council officers to support an integrated and holistic approach to stakeholder management.
- Developing and delivering communications material from the Capital Delivery Branch using a variety of communication channels.
- Actively supporting the Infrastructure Environment Department staff with active engagement with stakeholders at open forums and face to face opportunities such as community information sessions, door knocks during letter box drops, or on-site issues resolution meetings.
- Maintaining accurate records of all interactions with stakeholders, in accordance with the requirements of Council systems and procedures.

**About you**
To be successful in this role you will have:

- Proven ability in the implementation of communication and stakeholder engagement strategies.
- Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills to enable effective liaison with key stakeholders.
- Demonstrated communication and consultation skills, together with the ability to influence others to deliver quality services to clients and stakeholders.
- High level research, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to work under pressure, general direction and without supervision, demonstrating a high degree of initiative and planning and ability to organise works within stated deadlines.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of stakeholder management, including experience of delivering innovative issue, risk, and reputation management strategies, within the construction, engineering and/or civil infrastructure sectors.
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team and coach and support less experienced co-workers in the performance of their duties.

This is a permanent, Level 5 role. with a salary package commensurate with the level of experience, between $90,018 and $93,902 plus superannuation of up to 12.25%.
