
Principal Court Security Advisor

**Key responsibilities:
- Promote an intelligence-led risk management approach to the delivery of the CSQ security framework and plans for Queensland Courts; provide high quality strategic security advice and operational support across CSQ, to the Judiciary and to the CSQ leadership group, including preparation of submissions, memorandums, and briefing notes to CSQ senior staff, and other departmental executives as required.
- Oversee, undertake and provide high quality advice and guidance in the provision of operational security services including security guards, physical security equipment, electronic security systems, security assessments, threat referrals and analysis, preparation and implementation of specific security plans and matters associated with court security.
- Complete site-based security assessments of courthouses to identify security gaps and provide recommendations for improvement, including security risk analysis and recommend risk mitigation strategies as appropriate.
- Develop, maintain, and implement court security strategies, plans, policies, guidelines, systems and processes across all courts based on the court Security Management Plan, recognised security risk management practices, control methodology and best practice.
- Manage, maintain, and report on the court security incident reporting and threat information databases, including the development and maintenance of court security
intelligence holdings and the intranet based 'Security and Emergency Hub' webpage.
- Develop and deliver security training and exercises to enhance security awareness, build capability and improve staff preparedness in responding to security incidents and that supports compliance with security related policies, procedures and guidelines and improve existing court security training modules to remain contemporary and address court security training needs.
- Contribute to the security planning and management of high risk and high-profile matters appearing in regional Queensland Courts.
- Foster, manage and maintain collaborative working relationships across CSQ, with judicial officers, partner agencies and DJAG business areas including Infrastructure Services, service providers and stakeholders, to identify security requirements and to support information exchange.
- Represent State-wide Court Operations on project working groups and committees to provide advice and expertise on issues relevant to court security design and technology, including security design review / oversight for security related building works.
