**Public Sector People (PSP) **are currently looking to speak to an experienced Communications and Community Engagement Officer
***to join a Local Government 9 month FTC.
- **_Fixed Term Contract, full-time hours_**:

- **_September start for 9 months_**:

- **_Flexible working arrangements_**:

- **_Band 7 - $95,000 - $106,000 plus super_**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop communications and community engagement plans, organise, and implement information sessions and actively engage with stakeholders relating to Major Development projects
- Strengthen community relationships and achieve positive community outcomes Develop a strong public presence for Council in relation to the major projects including developing and maintaining of website and social media platforms
- Manage content/posting across the key digital platforms in conjunction with the Council media unit
- Develop strategic messaging, community information and material and other media related work as required
- Liaise with and report to Council and Executive Leadership Team on the portfolio projects in conjunction with the Major Developments Coordinator
- Represent the Major Developments unit at internal and external meetings, conferences, and committee meetings

**Requirements Include**:

- Demonstrated experience within a similar environment and/or tertiary qualification in community engagement, customer relations or customer service.
- A passion for community and a positive attitude towards developing constructive, respectful and positive relationships.
- The ability to identify creative and innovative ways to engage with the community and deliver required outcomes.
- High level IT skills and presentation and design skills.
