**The Opportunity**

Due to continuing growth, we have an exciting opportunity for a full time Quantity Surveyor, based in our Brisbane office.

Your overall responsibility will be to work closely with our national team of Loss Adjusters and external stakeholders to provide expert cost control advice and other technical input as required.

This role would suit someone with at least 2 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor. Whilst having worked in the insurance industry would be advantageous, it is not required.

**Key Accountabilities**

**Responsibilities include**:

- Site measurements and recording
- Preparation of cost plans and alternative methods analysis
- Review and preparation of reinstatement costs for the purpose of establishing VARs
- Preparation of basic project programs utilising appropriate software
- Preparation of tender analysis and recommendations
- Attendance on site and at meetings with clients and consultants as required
- Preparation of detailed reports and maintenance of project files
- Measurement of Bills of quantities
- Assistance with auditing of builders' claims for repairs
- Support development of a Quality Assurance system/process for McLarens Australia
- Supervision of junior staff when required when required
- Contribute to a learning and development culture, building capability through formal and informal coaching and mentoring as appropriate
- Provision of expert witness reports and attendance in court where required
