**Your new company**
You will be working with a well established federal government organisation that protects and enhances the integrity, quality and reputation of Australian higher education. We are looking for someone who is passionate about contributing to the excellence of the Australian higher education.
**Your new role**
As the Records Officer, you will be responsible and accountable for:
- Managing appropriate records creation, maintenance, sentencing, archival, disposal, destruction, and transfer to offsite storage.
- Providing specialist records management advice, support, guidance and training to key stakeholders and staff.
- Managing Records Management System, sites and libraries and undertaking quality audits and preparing updates and reports as requested.
- Assisting with the development, implementation, monitoring and review of strategies, policies and procedures for records management.
**What you'll need to succeed**
- Demonstrated experience performing information and records management activities in a timely and accurate manner, in accordance with relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
- An in-depth knowledge and understanding of maintaining compliance with records management legislation, policy and regulatory requirements through the records' management lifecycle.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including the ability to clearly communicate records management policies and processes.
- Demonstrated ability to be proactive and work independently, making decisions and exercising judgement within defined parameters under limited direction, when required.
- Proven ability to model and encourage innovative ways of working and solutions that deliver outcomes that meet or exceed expectations of key stakeholders.
