**Theatre Assistant** - **Casual** **Make a difference Be an essential part of our team providing high quality services to our patients.** **About the Role** We are seeking an enthusiastic and energetic individual with a strong customer focus to fill the role of a Theatre Assistant. You will be working across two operating theatres and two treatment rooms. Your shifts will be Monday - Friday, with no weekend or on call shifts Your responsibilities include (but are not limited to): - Working with and assisting clinical staff; - Responsible for stock order for the facility working closely together with the stores department - Cleaning and waste removal; - Ensuring theatres are set up for surgical procedures and equipment has been checked; - Transporting patients between wards; **About You** - While experience is not necessary in this role, an interest in patient care is essential to succeed in this role. - You will have excellent communication skills and a willingness to develop a working knowledge of hospital procedures. - You will be a motivated, positive individual and demonstrate a high level of attention to detail. Willingness to learn and to be trained as a hospital orderly. **You will also bring**: - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - Ability to work effective within a team environment and independently - Excellent patient and customer service focus - Be available for morning and afternoon shifts - Prior experience in a similar role (Desirable) **Remuneration** **$29.47 - $33.72** + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances. **About the Organisation** Ramsay Surgical Centre Miranda part of Kareena Private Hospital.
