**The Role**
The main purpose of this role is to manage and coordinate a wide range of moderately complex to complex tasks within a business management and office management role for Defence Maritime Support Services (DMSS) Group. This includes the role of security manager, secretariat coordination, Objective records coordination, budget and finance management, staff travel, management of compliance and product schedules, strategic correspondence and building management.
In addition, this role is required to understand, interpret and provide advice on moderately complex to complex policies and procedures, and provide expertise and advice to stakeholders in the use of performance management systems.
**About our Team**
Defence Maritime Support Services (DMSS) Group is part of Fleet Command under Support Force. DMSS Group is a capability enabler for marine support services across Defence and potentially, for use by other Commonwealth agencies.
This organisation is led by the Capability Manager Representative (CMR), who is accountable to Deputy Chief of Navy (DCN) on behalf of CN for the management of DMSS sustainment provided by Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG) or Naval Shipbuilding and Sustainment Group (NSSG).

- Communication skills; and
- Policy and framework compliance.
The Administration Officer will be expected to perform a range of business support functions as a key enabler for DMSS Group. They will be required to develop and implement processes and policies and proactive in seeking out best practice. This position will work closely with the executive team.
