**Improvement Coordinator**

The Improvement Coordinator supports the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of systems to improve the quality and safety of Western Health services, in line with the Best Care Framework.

The primary focus of this role is purposeful information collection, monitoring, practice improvement and risk management from incidents, audits and indicators.

The Improvement Coordinator works collaboratively with the Director of Best Care Operations, Best Care Governance Systems, Best Care Coordinators, senior managers, clinical/non-clinical staff and consumers to ensure that Western Health has an effective, co-ordinated, organisation-wide approach to improvement.

The role will work with a small team of Improvement Coordinators and actively contribute to the further development, embedding and sustainability of a framework to support improvement across Western Health.

To be successful in this role you will:

- Provide leadership, coordination and support to achieve optimum patient outcomes through improvement activity
- Support Western Health staff/services to identify and act on opportunities for improvement using consistent improvement methodology
- Lead improvement capability building activities including, but not limited to, training and development, mentoring, facilitation and development of improvement plans
- Lead the administration and oversight of improvement activities across Western Health, utilising systems to support coordination, i.e Life QI, MEERQat
- Proactively develop and embed consistent improvement methodology expertise to support Western Health improvement projects
- Provide clear and regular feedback on improvement projects to designated staff/committees across Western Health

The Best Care Operations Manager functions as part of a multidisciplinary team responsible for supporting the strategy, culture and organisational quality systems required to meet our commitment to Best Care.The Best Care Operations Manager is responsible for the successful operation of the Best Care Governance and Support Division in collaboration with the Director of Best Care Operations. The role will be responsible for daily operational leadership, management of staff and operational issues, capability building, as well as ensuring administrative requirements including financial budgets, workforce and performance activity targets are met.
