**Job Description** What you will be doing**

This is a great opportunity to join carsales as the Head of Content, part of the Marketing Leadership team. As the Head of Content, you will be instrumental in building, leading, and implementing our content strategies aimed at elevating and growing our brand, content presence and audience engagement across all channels, including carsales content sites, social media, video and SEO.

- Develop and implement a comprehensive content strategy to modernise and expand the editorial department, ensuring alignment with the overall business goals and brand vision.
- Drive audience engagement and growth by creating compelling and relevant content that resonates with diverse target audiences, leveraging data analytics and SEO best practices to inform content decisions.
- Develop and execute strategies to enhance the commercial appeal of content, integrating brand and product messaging to support sales objectives and partnerships.
- Foster a stronger connection between the brand and its audience by crafting authentic narratives and storytelling that highlight carsales’ products and services.
- Enhance carsales’ presence on social media platforms and in video content by developing innovative and engaging content formats that drive user interaction and brand awareness.
- Prioritise SEO in all content initiatives to ensure increased visibility and search engine ranking, optimising content for relevant keywords and employing effective SEO strategies.
- Lead and mentor a team of content creators, editors, and strategists, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages creativity and professional growth.
- Monitor and analyse content performance metrics, using insights to continuously refine and optimise content strategies for maximum impact, SEO effectiveness, and ROI.

**Qualifications** What we’re looking for**
- Demonstrated understanding and expertise in content creation, strategy, and management, with a strong background in digital media, publishing, or a related field.
- Demonstrated expertise in SEO best practices and content optimisation, with a track record of improving search rankings and driving organic traffic growth.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful content strategies across key social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and LinkedIn, with measurable results in audience engagement and growth.
- Strong knowledge of Content Management Systems (CMS) and experience integrating content strategies with digital product and UX teams to ensure seamless user experiences and consistent brand messaging.
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects from conception to execution, with experience in budget management and resource allocation to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
