The founder recognises that marketing is the next critical step — and is seeking the right specialist to:
- Translate that customer connection into data-driven growth.
- Build and manage paid campaigns that resonate with this valued audience.
- Help scale a purpose-led, founder-run brand without losing its authenticity.
This isn’t just about managing ads — this is about helping to write the next chapter of a meaningful growth story.
**The Role**
This is a pivotal new role where you will own and build our paid marketing capability from the ground up. Partnering directly with the Founder, you’ll develop and implement paid media strategies that attract and convert their core audience.
You’ll launch and optimise campaigns across Meta (Facebook/Instagram) with external support and build our Google Ads presence, with an eye towards testing new channels as they expand internationally into the US.
**The Responsibilities**
- Develop and execute paid media strategies focused on acquiring and retaining customers in Australia and, ideally in the US market.
- Set up and manage Meta (Facebook/Instagram) campaigns with advanced audience segmentation, creative testing, and funnel strategies.
- Build and manage Google Ads (Search, Shopping, Display) — from initial setup to ongoing optimisation.
- Design campaigns that reflect the needs and motivations of mature plus-size customers (e.g. messaging on confidence, quality, fit, lifestyle).
- Monitor daily performance, optimise for ROAS and CPA, and provide actionable insights to the Founder.
- Implement and manage conversion tracking (Meta Pixel, Google Tag Manager, UTMs).
- Provide regular reporting on results and strategic recommendations to guide growth.
- Collaborate on or brief creative asset production that resonates with our demographic.
- Explore and test emerging channels (e.g. Pinterest, TikTok — where appropriate).
**The Requirements**
- Hands-on eCommerce performance marketing experience — ideally in fashion, apparel, or DTC brands focused on mature or niche audiences.
- Proven ability to drive profitable growth through Meta Ads and (ideally) Google Ads — or confident in building Google Ads from scratch.
- Strong analytical skills — Use data to optimise campaigns and communicate insights outside of Ad platforms.
- Self-starter who thrives in a founder-led, fast-moving environment where you can shape the future.
- Familiarity with the nuances of scaling into new markets, particularly the US.
**And The Nice-to-Have**
- Experience with international eCommerce expansion (AU to US).
- Familiarity with Pinterest Ads or other channels suited to the demographic.
- Experience managing creative production or briefing designers.
