**What you can expect in a day in this role**:
We are seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager to be responsible for the effective execution of the procurement function for Wrest Point in line with the Federal Group sourcing and buying policy framework. Leading a small team and working in conjunction with the Group Procurement team, the successful applicant will have a wide range of accountabilities, including:
- Developing, implementing and maintaining policies, processes and systems relating to purchasing and contract management
- Developing specifications for products and services, preparing requests for tender, negotiating and awarding supplier contracts
- Managing ongoing relationships with suppliers and ensuring that the company maximises its return from supplier contracts
- Reviewing monthly financials and working with outlet managers to identify cost savings, new product opportunities or alternatives
**What you will bring to the role**:
- Recent experience in a similar role, buying across a wide range of categories, and undertaking end-to-end contract management.
- Demonstrated customer orientated focus and experience in effectively managing relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse data, identify trends, and implement data-driven solutions
- Experience in purchasing related to significant projects would be an advantage
- A commitment to quality, cost efficiency, and consistently delivering exceptional results
