Land Acquisition Manager

This is a senior leadership position responsible for driving the land acquisition strategy and pipeline for our Charlotte division.
The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience in residential land acquisition, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. They will be expected to source, underwrite, and negotiate land purchases, build and manage relationships with brokers, developers, and officials, and oversee due diligence and entitlement efforts.
The selected individual will also lead and mentor the acquisition team members and collaborate cross-functionally with leadership, finance, and development teams.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute the land acquisition strategy for the Charlotte division
- Sourcing, underwriting, and negotiating land purchases
- Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders
- Overseeing due diligence and entitlement efforts
- Leading and mentoring the acquisition team
- Cross-functional collaboration with leadership, finance, and development teams
- 8+ years of experience in residential land acquisition
- At least 3 years of experience in a leadership role
- Strong knowledge of the Charlotte metro land market
- Proven track record of sourcing and closing deals
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
