Our
**Federal Government** client is seeking to engage an
**APS6 Procurement and Contracts Officer** on a contract for 12 months in their Victorian headquarters in
**Geelong**.

**What's on Offer?**

- ** 12 month contract, with possibility to extend**:

- ** Standard Hours of work - Monday to Friday, 8:30 am till 5:00 pm 37.5hrs per week**

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Working collaboratively with Agency’s business areas as a procurement business partner to establish appropriate procurement methodologies, preparing a range of procurement documentation, evaluating tenders and negotiating contracts.
- Managing and undertaking procurement reporting and verification activities, and processing procurements through the financial management system.
- Maintaining and implementing procurement and contract management policies, procedures, and frameworks.
- Contributing to procurement planning activities within the wider Procurement Team and across the Agency.
- Providing specialist procurement advice and ensuring Agency’s procurement activities are conducted in line with legislative requirements, the Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs) and the Agency’s Procurement Policy to deliver value for money outcomes that contribute to better social and economic outcomes for people with disability.
- Providing quality and timely advice to internal and external stakeholders, including guidance and reporting to the Branch Leadership, and the Executive Leadership Team.
- Monitoring and progressing work area activities to achieve work area objectives, ensuring consistent and high-quality outputs and maintaining team cohesion.

**Key skills required for role**:

- Previous Procurement experience, preferably in a Government Agency or Department

**Desirable skills to have for the role**:

- Delivering support and advice in relation to compliance with the Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPR's)
- SAP experience

**Mandatory: Australian Citizenship required to work within Federal Government
