**The opportunity**
Our client is a community focused federal government agency. They have an exciting opportunity available for a APS6 Digital Communications Officer to join the Media, Marketing and Communication Branch.

12-month initial Labour Hire contract with the opportunity to extend. The position will be paying an hourly rate of $60.26 + Super, to be based out of our client's Geelong office.

**Responsibilities will include**
- Working with the Communications and Engagement Division and other key stakeholders to ensure streamlined and well-delivered content to internal and external stakeholders and audiences.
- Reviewing and implementing new systems and processes to make sure the communications and engagement function is efficient and embedded within the Agency.
- Supporting the development and publishing of intranet content in line with the NDIA Communications and Engagement strategy and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 (conformance to at least AA level).
- Advising business areas and performing quality assurance on suitability of online content and information architecture based on best practice and accessibility.
- Managing correspondence through team inboxes, including actioning requests or triaging requests to relevant team members for action.
