The role is a combination of supporting the leading hand in the day-to-day production office duties, including workflow planning and order processing as well as assisting the workshop doing testing, assembly and supporting the production team.

Are you mecahnically minded, looking for a role that involves 50 / 50 time in the office and in the production warehouse?

We have an exciting hybrid office / production role with our client, a global leader in the design and manufacturing of motion control and fluid technology looking to join their team in Rowville.

The role is a combination of supporting the leading hand in the day-to-day production office duties, including supply and order processing as well as assisting the workshop doing testing, assembly and supporting the production team.

This is a great opportunity for someone with both hands-on production experience looking to take responsibilities in the demand and supply planning environment.

**Responsibilities include**:
Perform assembly & testing of pneumatic cylinders

Support the leading hand with production planning and scheduling

Perform simple cutting and machining operations in support of the production process

Support leading hand with communication and co-ordination across other business functions i.e. Sales, Engineering, Quality and Supply chain.

Perform work order maintenance and other production related activities in JDE.

To liaise and co-ordinate between departments to ensure component shortages are followed up with the supply chain team

Maintain a clean, safe, organised and well presented working environment. Your work cell and desk must be clean and tidy before you finish at the end of each day.

Participate in daily toolbox meetings

To provide input and actively participate in continuous process improvement and safety initiatives.

Strong Mechanical Aptitude

Experience with similar "hands-on" process assembly

Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings preferred but not essential

General IT skills, experience with an ERP / Inventory System

Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate with various stakeholders

Organisational skills and attention to detail (including mathematical ability)

Intermediate Microsoft Excel and Word skills

Experience working in LEAN business environment preferable but not essential

Knowledge of ISO 9001 desirable
