**Job Description**:
This is an exciting, entry level opportunity, to join TAL as a Process Optimisation Analyst, working flexibly from our Sydney office. You will join the Actuarial Systems team where you will be responsible for assisting the Finance business areas to assess their current processes and activities to identify opportunities to reduce effort and risk through automation, digitisation, and process re-engineering.

In this role you will:

- Work under some direction to follow standard design principles and conventions, solve problems and share knowledge to build capability in others
- Execute processes and practices efficiently and effectively to enhance commercial outcomes
- Document processes and solutions and testing automated processes
- Support the daily administration of Actuarial systems by problem-solving issues and following change and release process
- Co-ordinate user acceptance testing and facility handover of complete processes with clear documentation and interactive walk throughs
- Contribute to the design and build of a results database for prophet model input & output which meets Actuarial end user reporting requirements

**Qualifications**:

- Tertiary degree in a Financial, Actuarial or IT discipline
- Strong technical skills in programming and data analysis
- Aptitude for learning new software tools
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
- Pragmatic and solution driven approach
- Ability to sense check complex results
- Understand risk products and the life insurance industry
- Knowledge and experience with Prophet is desired
