**Role impact & contribution**

Support the cash management function for the State, one of Australia’s largest liquidity pools, and contribute to important budget outcomes.

The Analyst Cash Optimisation role will maintain the process and system for the State’s operating liquidity, working closely with agencies and supporting external stakeholders including NSW Treasury Corporation and State banking partners.

You will provide insights and recommendations at a whole of government perspective to ensure the State’s multi-bank liquidity pools operate efficiently and advise agencies on forecasting approaches and risks. You will be proficient in managing systems across multiple users and finding ways to improve processes.

Developing working relationships to gain insights will help you to understand business drivers and develop reporting that supports key forecasting outcomes. Effective communication and collaboration with Treasury teams and agency counterparts is key. You will play a role in the State’s annual budget process and actively contribute to fiscal sustainability.

You will be joining our Banking and Financial Services Division (BFSD) within the Procurement Reform and Banking Group. Read more about your future Group and Division.

- Experience in budgeting, business performance, forecasting or analysis with a commercial or analytical perspective.

- Ability to represent Treasury at internal and external working forums, to identify forecast risks and monitor relevant business drivers.
