About the Community Safety Building Authority
The Community Safety Building Authority (CSBA) within the Department of Justice and Community Safety (DJCS) has been established to design, procure, build and upgrade the infrastructure needed to keep communities safe.
CSBA provides end-to-end project development, management and delivery of Victoria's new prisons, youth justice centres, court and custody facilities, emergency services facilities and public safety features such as pedestrian walkway bollards and CCTV networks. As well as delivering new infrastructure CSBA modernises, expands and upgrades existing facilities.
CSBA has a highly skilled workforce of experienced professionals from across the public and private sectors that support the development, procurement and delivery oversight of major capital projects. The CSBA team includes specialists in community safety infrastructure, project management, engineering, cost management, commercial management, planning and design.
The CSBA Procurement team provides procurement support and advice across the CSBA for the procurement and delivery of construction contracts.
Reporting to the Procurement Manager within the Infrastructure Risk and Procurement group the Procurement Officer will provide specialist procurement support in a busy, cohesive team environment.
The team is responsible for the management and implementation of the CSBA's procurement and contracting and risk functions, with emphasis on requirements for construction projects.

About the Role
The position provides support in all stages of CSBA procurement activities, including the preparation of procurement and contract documentation and managing the department's e-Souring function through buying for Victoria platform and contract management system for CSBA procurement activities. This includes but not limited to managing sourcing activities such as Request for Tender and Expression of Interest processes and timely entering of accurate data into the contract management system.
The Procurement Officer plays an important role by ensuring all procurement activities and documentation meets Departmental procurement standards and in accordance with the Procurement and Contract Management Framework. Under general direction from the Procurement Manager and Senior Procurement Adviser, this position generates necessary reports and maintains CSBA contracts using all relevant departmental systems and tools.

**You will also**:

- Manage the team shared mailbox, registration and tracking of procurement activities.
- Assist with registering procurements with ICN VMC portal.
- Assist in the coordination and preparation of contract documentation and administration. processes associated with Requests for Quote/tenders.
- Review procurement correspondence, including approval documentation for a range of procurement activities.
- Ensure appropriate procurement documentation are submitted before a contract record is created or a variation is updated in department's procurement system.
- Coordinate with the Finance team to ensure all engagements are managed within approved budgets.
- Assist with the implementation, reporting and administration of Social Procurement, Local Jobs First, Building Equality and the Fair Jobs code.
- Maintain contract information in departmental systems and produce reports for stakeholders.
- Publishing awarded contracts and variations as required by the Ministerial Directions and Instructions.
- Assist the Director Infrastructure Risk and Procurement with tasks as directed.
