We have a new casual position available for a Medical Receptionist. Experience in medical reception/administration would be an advantage but not a requirement to join our team.

The successful applicant will need excellent communication skills, ability to multitask in a very busy environment and work both independently with initiative and as a courteous team member. Flexibility and reliability to cover business hours of 8am to 6pm, annual leave and sick shifts. _**Experience with Zedmed is beneficial**_ and/or experience with other medical billing software is beneficial but not a necessity.

Our practice comprises of six doctors, two nurses, a part-time psychologist and dietitian. The practice is located in the beachside suburb of Glenelg, access to public transport and Jetty Road precinct.

Responsibilities include:

- Welcoming patients to the practice in a warm and friendly manner
- Collecting and entering patient details
- Opening and Closing the surgery
- Managing patient appointments
- Answering phone calls and enquiries in a friendly professional manner
- General administrative duties i.e. scanning, faxing
- Patient billing, private, Medicare and DVA
- Processing of payments
- Valid police check or able to receive one
- Provide administrative support to the Doctors & Nurses

Please note the successful applicant will be required to undergo a Criminal History Check and provide a DCSI clearance certificate.

The successful applicant will be required to provide their immunisation record upon request.

**Salary**: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
