APG Workforce is currently seeking and experience Project Officer for a 12-Month contract within a local Government Sector based in Parramatta.

**The Role**

**12 Month Contract**

**Location**: Sydney CBD + WFH - 1 day per fortnight required in office

**Pay Rate: $52.13 Per Hour + Super**

**Key accountabilities of the role**:

- Provide a range of financial and project officer support services to meet the business needs of the team/unit.
- Respond to and resolve enquiries and issues to ensure the provision of accurate information, and the timely and effective resolution of issues.
- Manage records and databases, complying with administrative systems, processes and policies, to ensure that all information is accurate, stored correctly and accessible.
- Assist the project team to complete tasks and implement project plans to ensure agreed outcomes are achieved.
- Communicate with relevant stakeholders to provide updates regarding project status and implementation issues.
- Preparing project/program reports, briefings and other written material.

**Key Challenges of the role**:

- Undertake research and assist with the drafting of briefings, advice and correspondence for consideration by the Unit Head for progression to the Director, Executive and the Minister as needed in respect to waste issues.
- Represent the interests of the organisation with key stakeholders in the negotiation, design and delivery of projects.
- Ensure that projects are delivered on time and on budget and meet the strategic and policy needs and objectives of the Branch, Organisation and NSW government.

**Inherent requirements of the role/ Essential Skills and Experience**
- Experience in the preparation of end of month financial reporting (including accruals/reconciliations etc) - Intermediate
- Knowledge of the POEO (Waste) Reg or Waste Industry - Foundational
- Can do attitude - someone willing to jump in and assist the team when needed - Adept
- Learning mindset (always keen to learn new things) - Intermediate
- The ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment with changing priorities - Intermediate
- Teamwork & collaboration - Adept
