**Job Description**:
The mission of the Enterprise Operations Centre (EOC) is to provide an enterprise ability to be predictive and to monitor, manage, respond and report on system and service health to business, executive and operational stakeholders in real-time. It is led by the program's Duty Manager and actively contributed to by all Service Providers and IT Service Management (ITSM).
**Your New Role**
The Operations Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the ICT team ensuring the availability and reliability of systems and networks across multiple environments. The Operations manager will be required to manage a wide range of technologies while delivering improved efficiencies and productivity to meet the contractual Service Level Agreements (SLAs). They must ensure the organisation IT policies are procedures are up to date and complaint with both Leidos and customer policies.
**Responsibilities include**:
- Overseeing the daily operation of a small ICT team and ensure that the systems and networks are running smoothly
- Develop and implement policies, processes and procedures that improve IT operations and increase efficiency and productivity;
- Performing HR duties such as recruiting, selecting, scheduling, counselling and disciplining employees
- Leading a team of ICT professionals providing guidance and support to ensure that they are meeting their goals and objectives.
- Manage the planning and scheduling of deliveries, collection and support to best utilise available resources
- Assess system and team performance and recommend improvements.
- Maintain safe and healthy work environment by following and enforcing site environmental health and safety (EHS) policies and procedures; complying with applicable Work Health Safety (WHS) Act standards;

**The following abilities are desirable**:
- Proven experience as an ICT operations manager.
- Experience with systems installation, configuration and analysis
- Demonstrated strong leadership managing personnel across multi-disciplinary teams.
- Demonstrates an awareness of risk and takes an analytical approach to work.
- Excellent communications skills to effectively interact with team members, senior management, and stakeholder engagement.
- Technical proficiency and knowledge of ICT infrastructure, networks, and systems to effectively manage and troubleshoot issues.
- Ability to manage multiple projects.
- Recognised Degree qualifications in Operations or equivalent level of demonstrable competence
- Valid Driver’s License;
- Relevant Workplace Health and Safety training for Australian operations
