Banyule Leisure Duty Manager

Banyule Leisure is a service unit within Banyule Council's Healthy & Active Communities Department and is responsible for the management and provision of high-quality health & fitness programs and services at Ivanhoe Aquatic Centre, Olympic Leisure Centre and Banyule Netball Stadium.

**About the role**:
We are seeking experienced, enthusiastic and positive thinking Duty Managers to join our dynamic, results oriented and community focused team to work at Ivanhoe Aquatic Centre and/or Olympic Leisure.

As the Duty Manager you will coordinate and manage the Banyule Leisure staff in the absence of Coordinators and/or Team Leaders and ensure staff attend allocated shifts, ensure maintenance is completed and staff are customer focused and administration tasks completed.

**Skills, experience and qualifications**:

- A tertiary qualification and/or previous experience in the leisure/aquatics facility industry
- Pool Lifeguard (PLG)
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- AED (Automatic Electronic Defibrillator)
- Sound knowledge of public safety requirements, RLSSA Guidelines for Safe Pool Operation (GSPO), first aid, resuscitation and rescue techniques.
- Aquatic Technical Operators Certificate (highly desirable)
- Ability to effectively communicate with and supervise staff
- Strong leadership skills
- Good problem solving skills
