- Full-time, fixed term contract until 31 December 2025
- Salary Range: $91,033 - $100,080 per annum (plus 17% superannuation)

**About the Role**

In this role you will be responsible for managing the training and compliance requirements of the University’s Core Animal Facility under direction of the Manager: Animal Facility to ensure all federal and state legislative and university requirements are met.

The position will include providing training and advice to users/visitors of the facility and identifying opportunities for improvements to practice and compliance.

**To Be Successful You Will Need**
- Qualifications at diploma level in a relevant discipline together with significant knowledge, skills and experience working in laboratory animal care. Plus a Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training or equivalent qualifications and experience
- Sound knowledge and implementation experience of the Australian code for the care and use of animals for scientific purposes, animal ethics approval processes, guidelines and standard operating procedures relating to laboratory animal care and all Commonwealth, State regulations and requirements
- Ability to provide training and induction to diverse groups in animal facility procedures (including WHS) and in the use of animal facilities
- Demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining quality systems and the ability to participate in a continuous safety improvement process
- Strong interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to successfully communicate and collaborate with a diverse range of people internal and external to the University
