**The Opportunity**:
Minda is currently undergoing a transformation, and we are looking for an experienced WHS Manager to provide leadership and drive significant change across the business in the areas of WHS, Injury Management, Return to Work and employee wellbeing.

Reporting to the Chief People Officer, the WHS Manager will:

- Provide leadership, coaching and mentoring to the WHS and Injury Management team, and drive a proactive approach to partnering with leaders to educate, influence and coach WHS, worker wellbeing and Return to Work responsibilities.
- Oversee the review, development, and implementation of WHS systems, frameworks, and policies & procedures, and early intervention strategies to ensure protection of worker safety as well as compliance as a Self-Insured employer.
- Act as a key agent to drive WHS and wellbeing change programs and initiatives across Minda.
- Provide strategic advice and expertise across the full range of WHS, Injury Management and Return to Work matters to the Executive team.
- Assess risks and provide practical solutions to minimise exposure to WHS risk and liability.
- Work in partnership with the Risk and Audit team to refine and continuously improve the WHS Audit and Compliance Program.

To succeed in this role, you will have a positive outlook, be passionate about all things WHS and wellbeing related, and have an inherent ability to motivate others through changing times.

**Essential Requirements**:

- Significant experience leading a WHS and Injury Management function, with specialist knowledge in WHS, Injury Management and/ or Return to Work legislation and practices, preferably in a Self-Insured environment.
- Proven experience implementing a safety-first cultural change and establishing early intervention programs and wellbeing strategies.
- Able to lead the implementation of WHS systems, frameworks, policies, and procedures.
- Leadership experience in a self-insured environment, with a sound understanding of self-insurance requirements and auditing processes.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, and ability to draft effective business reports.
- Tertiary qualifications and/ or similar with demonstrated experience in WHS leadership roles.

**Desirable**:

- Project Management or Change Management qualifications.

**Other**:

- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.
- Current and unrestricted South Australian Driver’s Licence.
- Evidence of full vaccination against Covid-19 (2+ booster)
