About the Role

Cabrini Brighton Rehab consists of Rehabilitation patients across 48 beds across the first floor.

As a Personal Care Assistant (PCA), you will support the nursing staff and report directly to the registered nurses to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering patient care under the supervision and direction of the registered nurse.- Observing and reporting patient conditions to the registered nurse.- Responding to queries from patients and their families, referring to the registered nurse when necessary.- Maintaining the patient environment, including making beds.- Ensuring patient privacy and dignity while addressing their emotional, spiritual, and cultural needs.

About You

This role is ideal for someone with experience in patient care who thrives in a supportive environment.

You will also have:
- Health Service Assistance qualifications or equivalent qualifications as outlined in the position description.- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team.- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and relationships with patients.- The ability to manage sensitive and confidential matters with professionalism.- Experience in an acute hospital setting (preferred).
