**The Parklife Metro Consortium is working on an exciting new metro rail infrastructure project in Greater Western Sydney.**

This city shaping project, which will be delivered under a Public Private Partnership, will provide a major economic stimulus for Western Sydney.

WeBuild as a D&C Contractor member, will be responsible for the successful delivery of the design and construction elements of the project, and we are currently looking to appoint an experienced Survey Data Manager.

**Job Summary**:
The Health & Hygiene Coordinator will coordinate and manage all delivery aspects of Occupational Health and Hygiene on the SSTOM project within the Parklife Metro D&C Team as per project Health and Hygiene Management Plan requirements, the Deed and Legislative requirements.

**Key responsibilities**
- Develops, implements and update the project Occupational Health & Hygiene Management Plan and ancillary Procedures.
- Keeps occupational H&H records.
- Complies with Webuild Group policies and procedures as amended from time to time
- Complies with SSTOM policies and directives as amended from time to time.
- Assist the Health and Safety Manager, Responsible manager(s) and the Risk Manager, external consultants and Certified Occupational Hygienist (COH) OHS to identify, assess, evaluate and control workplace health and hygiene risks.
- Manages the compliance obligations under the Occupational Safety and Health Act, National Rail Safety Legislation, and associated legislative requirements.
- Fulfils the role and duties as laid out in their contractual letter of appointment.
- Stops the progress of the relevant part of the Project Works where health or safety is being or may be compromised.
- Assists, advises and supports the H&S Manager in developing H&H policeis procedures, legislation and training requirements.
- Facilitate, organise, execute and document Health Risk Assessments in accordance with Sydney Metro Principal Contractor H&S specification and SSTOM project procedures.
- Monitors compliance with the health and hygiene management system.
- Ensures supervisory personnel are trained in their occupational Health and Hygiene requirements and ensures consultation arrangements have been established with employees.
- Interfaces with H&H consultants, Sydney Metro H&H representatives, the Certified Occupational Hygienist and subcontractors on H&H matters
- Attends H&S risk assessments workshops and meetings and provides advice on H&H risk issues and mitigations.
- Compiles relevant H&H reports and statistical information.
- Ensures the COH is provide access to project personnel including subcontractors with purpose of performing observations and interviewing workers; Identifying and quantifying workplace hazards; Evaluating exposure control effectiveness; Identifying improved control measures;
- Ensures WHS team members participate in the Basic Principles of Occupational Hygiene training;
- Implements an occupational health and hygiene information management system that ensures the systematic control and retrieval of valid information to manage occupational health and hygiene risks Reports to SSTOM Management
- Reviews the Project occupational Health and Hygiene Management Plan at nominated frequencies to determine continued effectiveness.
- Build effective partnerships with external organisations to support SSTOM initiatives.
- Ensures project H&H KPIs and targets are defined and monitors performance.
- Reviews subcontractors occupational H&H management plans procedures
- Audits contractors H&H management plans effective implementation.
- Provide leadership to personnel to achieve no harm or injury on culture in the workplace.
- Assist the project to develop and maintain a workplace culture focused on an injury free workplace.
- Establish and maintain strong positive relationship with project and operational managers to ensure engagement and support of the SSTOM project goals and objectives.
- Develop & cultivate relationships with clients ensuring compliance with both client and company requirements.
- Oversee the development of health and safety hazard identification plans, risk analysis, corporate and site-specific health plans.
- Ensure the collection, preparation, analysis and issue of health and hygiene statistics and performance data and implement strategies to achieve continual improvement.
- Prepare and submit monthly health and hygiene reports and attend management meetings to present and discuss health and hygiene related matters.

**Qualifications & Experience**
- Recognised tertiary qualifications within a relevant field (Occupational Health and Hygiene)
- At least 10 years of experience working in a similar role on a project of similar size and complexity to SSTOM project.
