William Adams are currently seeking an experienced and highly motivated **Leading Hand **to work out of our** Hobart **branch. This is a full-time permanent position, working a 5x2 roster.

**ABOUT THE ROLE**

Reporting to the Service Supervisor this role requires a person to lead the team with the day to day operations and safety requirements. You will have a

strong earthmoving background with excellent diagnostic skills and technical knowledge.

**What a typical day in the role will look like**:

- Carrying out service, repairs and maintenance of Cat equipment
- Lead and mentor our apprentices and service technicians
- Technical troubleshooting and fault-finding skills including diagnostics, repairs and maintenance on various Cat earthmoving equipment
- Prepare all relevant paperwork upon the completion of jobs
- Opening/closing and invoicing Service Work Orders
- Providing quality customer service at all times

**What skills and experience we are looking for**:

- A fully qualified Diesel Technician with prior experience leading a team of technicians
- The ability to mentor, motivate and coach apprentices and technicians
- Understanding of computer systems, including Microsoft office
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Committed to delivering superior customer service
- A can-do positive attitude
- Effective time management and ability to work unsupervised
- A strong commitment to safety, health & environment procedures
