About the Role

We're on the lookout for a forward-thinking Data & Analytics Lead who's ready to do more than just manage data - you'll be the driving force behind turning it into real business impact.

In this role, you'll help shape the future of data at Aurora Energy. You'll work across the organisation to deliver immediate priorities while also building toward our long-term strategic goals. You'll bring creativity and innovation to how we use cloud platforms and data solutions, all while keeping things pragmatic and cost-effective. You'll also play a key role in boosting data literacy, strengthening governance, and helping teams across Aurora make smarter, data-informed decisions.

If you thrive on collaboration, love solving complex problems, and want to help define the future of data in a purpose-driven organisation - this could be the role for you.

About You

You're not just a data expert - you're a strategic thinker, a strong communicator, and someone who knows how to bring people along on the journey. Here's what you'll bring:

  • A big-picture mindset with the ability to align data strategy to business goals.
  • A passion for improving customer outcomes through smart, data-driven insights.
  • Confidence working with execs, tech teams, and stakeholders across the business.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms and modern analytics tools.
  • A track record of building effective data governance frameworks and boosting data literacy.
  • Leadership experience in data and analytics, ideally within a large or complex organisation.
  • Experience designing or migrating data solutions to cloud environments.
  • A degree in computer science, systems analysis, or a related field—or equivalent experience.
  • Experience working in the energy or utilities sector is desirable.

What's on Offer

With a focus on innovation and delivering better customer outcomes, there has never been a better time to work in the Tasmanian energy sector with Aurora Energy. Be a part of Tasmanians' energy future and make a strong contribution to the ongoing success of our business.
