Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage an APS5/6 Project Officer on a contract for 12 months with 1x12 months extension option.

**Position Overview**

**Duties & Responsibilities**:
Primary duties of the position include:

- Under limited direction, perform, coordinate, and assist in a range of moderately complex to complex project support activities, program and project management, including but not limited to:

- Monitoring of the portfolio
- Proactively updating project plans and artefacts
- Budget management
- Status and exception reporting
- Project priority setting
- Workflow management
- Coordinate and schedule meetings, prepare agendas and minutes, and follow up outstanding actions
- Engage and consult with a range of internal and external stakeholders

**Skills and Qualifications Required**:
The key skills and experience required include:

- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Project Officer within government or large organisations
- Adept with MS Office Suite, including Project, Excel, Visio, Microsoft Teams
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to engage with numerous stakeholders via several means, e.g. workshop facilitation
- Demonstrated effective prioritisation and time management capability, including ability to coordinate and schedule meetings, prepare agendas and minutes, and follow up outstanding actions within tight timeframes

**Evaluation Criteria**:
The successful applicants must be able to demonstrate:

- Demonstrated compliance/alignment with the Statement of Requirement
- Relevant skills, knowledge and education/qualifications

**Mandatory Requirements**:

- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance at a level designated by the Agency on request
- Ability to obtain and maintain national police check.
- Australian Citizenship is a condition of eligibility.
