**ABOUT THE ROLE**

The position is responsible in managing all recyclables transportation of our sales, trading and purchase order requirements to enhance commodities sales, ensure sustainability and overall customer satisfaction.

Reporting to Commodities and Logistics Manager, key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

- Drive delivery efficiency with commodity buyers to ensure least cost path to delivery.
- Constant monitoring of deliveries, coordination of Site Admins and pick-ups with customers.
- Monitor site production and allocate product to customers accordingly.
- Ensuring sites are able to be cleared of stock by moving product off site to customers with the minimum of delay.
- Provide updates to customers regarding quality, delivery timing and advising of any delays.
- Assist in identifying ways to optimise/modify the process to increase productivity, accuracy, and improve customer experience.
- Liase and built relationships with shipping lines and road freight operators. Negotiate export freight rates and terms.
- Responsibility for organising and monitoring export bookings to avoid container detention and cancellation costs.
- Monitor customer purchase orders and ensure all supplied with within contract period.
- Request new purchase orders from traders when required.
- Monitor and negotiate export/ domestic freight performance, pricing and terms with existing and new providers.
- Backup Logistics Coordinator in day-to-day transport operations when required.
- Monthly Shipping Reports - Balance of Contracts & Inventory Report.

**ABOUT YOU**
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration or related field preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in domestic and export freight management, identify best logistic options for company’s needs.
- Ability to work well autonomously and within a team
- Well-developed analytical, problem solving and decision-making abilities with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Computer proficiency with ability to pick up new programs and strong knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- The ability to analyse data and provide meaningful reports.
- Strong people skills, including a strong ability to communicate and negotiate.
- Enjoys working in a cross-functional environment.
- Current driver’s license.
- The ability to travel interstate.
- Exposure to the recycling, waste and/or manufacturing industries (desired, not essential.)
- Knowledge and/or experience in dealing with local and export sales/documentation (desired, not essential.)
- Background in export and local transport logistics preferred (desired, not essential.)
