Performing Arts Technical Coordinator

This role will commence in February 2025 and is ongoing, full-time.
**The successful applicant must**:
- Degree or equivalent experience in Sound and/or Lighting for Live Theatre and Music productions.
- Experience in an education setting would be highly regarded.
- Demonstrated skills in providing the technical services for successful theatrical and concert projects.
- Demonstrated skills and practical experience across a broad range of technical production settings such as, but not limited to, sound, lighting, digital content creation, backstage, rigging eg: patching and focusing of whole lighting rigs including moving fixtures and intelligent LED fixtures; experience sound designing a Live Production.
- Proven track record in effectively managing technical resources at the highest standard - including: people, places and equipment required to deliver a performance event and program.
- Demonstrated experience in working in a theatre/music production environment.
- Ability to draw on an experienced network of professional production contacts.
- Demonstrated ability to develop, document and effectively communicate processes, procedures and guidelines.
- Thorough understanding of OH&S legislation and safe work practices
- Collaborate with the Creative Production Assistants to maintain physical spaces.
- Passionate about supporting young people learning the digital and technical skills involved in theatre production, both informally and formally.
- Anaphylaxis qualification, Asthma Management qualification and Level II First Aid Certificate are required however can be obtained prior to commencing.
- Technical qualifications such as Elevated Work Platform (Yellow Card) License, Working at Heights, Manual Handling Training and Rigging Certification is highly desirable.
- A willingness and availability to work flexible hours (evenings and weekends as necessary).
- National Police History Check (obtained within the last 6 months)
