Global Investment Banking focuses on building long-term relationships with large corporations, financial sponsors / infrastructure funds, as well as emerging disruptive growth companies. We have cultivated a ‘best in class’ reputation by providing strong advisory expertise and capitalizing on powerful M&A, equity and debt (including leverage finance) product expertise to deliver integrated financial solutions.

The consumer, retail, healthcare and education franchise provides strategic advisory and financing services to corporate clients, financial sponsors / infrastructure funds, as well as emerging disruptive growth companies. The team has been executing high profile transactions in 2021 including advisor to CSL on the acquisition of Vifor Pharma and associated $6bn equity raise (the largest ever primary equity raise in Australia), the IPO of ACL and APM, as well as the acquisition by Telstra Health of Medical Director. We are looking for an associate to join this leading consumer, retail, healthcare and education team as it continues to grow.
- Ability to operate as project / deal team lead, driving the work product and transaction processes
- Participate in the execution of M&A transactions and equity and debt financing
- Perform in-depth financial, valuation, due diligence and industry analysis
- Prepare marketing presentations and live deal materials
- Build financial / three-statement operating/ leveraged buyout models
- Attend client meetings as you build your network and experience
- Help to generate ideas and opportunities for new and existing clients
- Train and mentor junior bankers (analysts) as they develop core investment banking skill sets
- Learn from, and work with, teams consisting of professionals drawn from across the business, including senior bankers within your group, experts in other areas of the firm and colleagues from around the globe

**Requirements**:

- Investment Banking experience ideally within consumer, retail, healthcare, broader industrials or M&A
- Outstanding academic achievement
- Detailed oriented with strong financial analysis / financial modeling skills and commercial acumen
- A bachelor's degree plus 3+ years of investment banking, corporate finance, M&A, modelling/valuation or consulting experience
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to train and develop analysts
