Working in a town centre in the south of the ACT, this large Government Department brings together socially focussed individuals keen to make a difference to Australian society. There is a current need for high performing staff across the APS5, APS6 and EL1 Levels with a broad skill set in Policy, Project and Procurement, with a strong emphasis on delivering a positive impact within the Australian community.

**Your new role**

Your new team will be designing and implementing a number of initiatives to address a high profile issue across the 23/24 Financial Year. A range of team members are needed to create a team, between the APS5, APS6 and EL1 levels. You'll get to work alongside a high performing team with incredible knowledge on the content matter. On a day to day, you will be working on a range on duties which will include but are not limited to:

- Support and Manager Contracts of suppliers that have been selected from a procurement process
- Contribute and support to Policy Development and Project Management
- Support Secretariat and Governance activities
- Produce written materials such as briefings and correspondence

As you will be engaging and collaborating with a variety of stakeholders both internally and externally, well-developed communication skills with the ability to foster professional relationships whilst building rapport and trust is a must.

**What you'll need to succeed**

To succeed in this role, you should possess critical thinking skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and meet deadlines. Strong organisational skills and the capacity to manage competing tasks will be essential. You must have excellent verbal and written communication skills to produce clear and comprehensive materials, sometimes within short time frames. Being proactive and anticipating issues in the sector or with stakeholders will contribute to your success in this role. You will have the opportunity to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team and prior experience in Government roles such as Project Officers, Secretariat, Policy Officer and Procurement/Contract Management would be highly regarded.
