**About the Role**
The Partnership Manager spearheads industry-focused university engagement at Melbourne Connect and other innovation precincts in development, with a focus on building and managing partnerships. They lead the evaluation of opportunities, manage transactions, and ensure service excellence, while guiding a team to foster research and student involvement across industry-led innovation ecosystems.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Coordinate university engagement with co-located industry partners at Melbourne Connect, ensuring effective strategic collaboration and business outcomes across research, teaching and learning, precinct events, and broader ecosystem development.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective tenants, providing strategic management and understanding their goals and industry position.
- Identify and co-create new collaboration and product opportunities, triage leads, and negotiate deals to enhance tenant-partner outcomes.
- Supporting development of partnership services in innovation developments, including the Aikenhead Centre for Medical Discovery and Australian Institute for Infectious Diseases.
**Who we are looking for**
You will have extensive experience in leading business development with financial accountability, managing multiple partner accounts, and working across academia, business, and government sectors. You will excel in identifying growth opportunities, building strong relationships, and managing complex projects, while thriving as a team player in a dynamic environment.
You will also have:
- A degree or advanced qualification in a relevant field, which provides a solid foundation of knowledge and skills to support the development and delivery of commercial services within complex and dynamic industries.
- Demonstrated a proven track record in the design, implementation, and management of partnership services, with a strong focus on driving value, improving outcomes, and fostering sustainable business growth.
