**About the Mental Health Division**
- The Mental Health Division provides mental health assessment and interventions for people experiencing mental illness, and their family and carers. Working from a recovery-orientated model, the Mental Health Division provides an array of hospital-based, community and specialist services for infants, children, young people, adults and aged people throughout Victoria. All mental health services work within a clinical framework that promotes recovery-orientated practice and supported decision-making. The Mental Health Division has a highly supportive and collaborative team culture, based on the foundations of the Austin Health values.

**About the role**
- As the NDIS Program Lead in the Mental Health Division, you will be the key contact with the NDIA local office and LAC partner, supporting NDIS-readiness across the service.

A regular day will see you:

- Working alongside the clinical workforce to solve problems and drive NDIS outcomes for consumers of our services
- Building and maintaining strong partnerships with external agencies & stakeholders.
- Strengthening our clinical workforces’ capacity to support consumers and carers through the NDIS pathway.
- Playing a key role in addressing any issues relating to communication or decision making for consumers and service providers of NDIS.

**About you**
- You will have a relevant health qualification with current AHPRA registration (where applicable), and specific experience requirements for nurses, psychologists, social workers, and occupational therapists.

You’ll further bring with you:

- Strong knowledge of the NDIS, Disability Legislation and support services.
- Demonstrated clinical experience in relation to assessment and planning.
- Skills to build workforce capacity and competency through delivery of NDIS related training & education activities.
- An authentic commitment to person-centred care that drives positive outcomes for consumers, their families and carers.
- Strong communication, organisational and time management skills.
- Commitment to working collaboratively across a multidisciplinary team and with multiple key stakeholders.
