This is a key role in the Wholesale Chief Operating Office (WCOO) in Australia, responsible for driving the Strategic Change and Simplification agenda for Wholesale Banking across the Global Banking (GB) and Commercial Banking (CMB) businesses.

In your role as Wholesale Change and Simplification Manager you will drive delivery of Strategic Business Outcomes, leading the end-to-end delivery of the Australia Wholesale Banking Change and Simplification agenda, including; oversight, strategic planning, customer journey mapping, end-to-end change delivery and transition to BAU. The role will connect with the Regional Change and Simplification office, and Regional and Country stakeholders, to ensure effective country Wholesale management and support.

In doing so, you will help deliver simplification initiatives that will create exceptional customer journeys and improve front line effectiveness, while putting your strong project management discipline to work, helping to deploy Group projects that will create a material scale advantage.

Your main responsibilities will include:

- Leading the execution of the Wholesale Banking Strategic Change & Simplification agenda in Australia, working closely with the Head of Change, Regional Head of Simplification and Regional Head of Strategic Change.
- Playing a prominent role in portfolio planning and execution, being the go-to person for the Business for all activities around strategic and simplification change agenda definition and delivery.
- Supporting strategic change from initiation to execution and benefits realisation
- Collaborating with the Business on the need and nature of change to leverage opportunities and manage challenges
- Identifying opportunities, challenging conventional thinking and then shaping, prioritising and driving the execution of change needs with a focus on delivering desired customer, colleague, operational and financial outcomes.
- Supporting the tracking of risks, issues and dependencies, assessing impact on the change strategy and taking action to minimise impact.
- Utilising financial acumen to develop business cases, including investments, detailed benefits and link to business finances.
- Strategic change agenda reporting and ensuring key learnings are captured from each Programme for continuous improvement.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

- Demonstrated experience in change and or process improvement in banking and financial services.
- Strong relationship management, interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to negotiate and influence across networks of matrixed stakeholders to manage stakeholders to one solution.
- Ensuring priority change is driven forward with pace, whilst setting and managing realistic expectations.
- Outstanding organisational, project and planning skills.
- Experience in robotics processing automation and/or Microsoft Power Apps an advantage.
