To provide this support, we are looking for a Payroll & Compliance Manager to join our People & Culture Team on a permanent basis.

This role will work hand in hand with the P&C Advisory team in the delivery of HR processes across the employee lifecycle via our people system (Workday), payroll solution (currently Access MicrOpay) and time & attendance. The Payroll Manager will focus on the delivery of superior customer service, data accuracy and quality payroll outcomes for our people.

- , in this role you will:_
- Manage the implementation of a new time and attendance system for a high volume and seasonal workforce
- Analyse input, configure functional requirements and design solutions to set up a sustainable long term operating model
- Manage the delivery of our payroll function ensuring that each pay run is pre-checked, accurate, on time and adheres to our compliance framework
- Prepare and process the payrolls and personnel transactions and reports on a weekly, fortnightly and monthly basis or as required.
- Monitoring and ensuring compliance, eligibility, and timeliness of payments in terms of Modern Awards, Employment Agreements, organisational policies, and other relevant legislation
- Manage the day-to-day relationship with our P&C Advisory team to ensure continuous process improvement and compliance, and that any issues are resolved in a timely manner
- Be responsible for the accurate and timely reporting of payroll related year-end information to the Australian Taxation Office and other government agencies
- Liaise with Payroll Software Client Support on system related problems. This includes implementation, integration, and testing

About you
- What you will bring to the role:_
- Experience with using Access MicroPay (essential)
- Strong background and working knowledge in Payroll and relevant legislation
- Experience with various payroll packages used by medium to large organisations would be advantageous
- Experience with various time and attendance systems used by medium to large organisations is essential
- Single Touch Payroll experience
- Demonstrated experience in process improvement and creation of new processes
- Maintain confidentiality and demonstrates compliance with relevant Privacy legislation
- Experience with Workday is advantageous but not essential
- Ability to work autonomously and/or as a team member
- Team management and development experience
- You must hold (or be willing to obtain) a current Police Check and Working with Children Check
